Doug Stone made his mark as a soulful baritone balladeer in the early ’90s, debuting with “I’d Be Better Off (In a Pine Box)” and quickly rising to fame with hits like “In a Different Light,” “A Jukebox with a Country Song,” and “Too Busy Being in Love.” Over the years, he’s earned eight #1 singles, fifteen Top 10s, and sold over 10 million albums.

A Georgia native, Doug began performing at age seven, even opening for Loretta Lynn. By his 30s, he landed a record deal with Epic Records, leading to platinum and gold-certified albums and a Grammy nomination. Despite major health challenges—including heart surgery and a plane crash—Stone continued to perform, record, and even act in films like Gordy and When the Storm God Rides.

In 2014, he released “The Demos: 20 Years of Life,” a collection of previously unreleased recordings. Now in 2025, with a career spanning 35 years and a renewed sense of purpose after nearly eight years sober, Doug Stone is still on the road, sharing his timeless country hits and his powerful personal journey with fans across the nation.
